RGBW FOR SPORTSLIGHTING

PLEASE NOTE: RGBW applications for sports lighting are different than those of architectural lighting due to circuit board limitations. The important difference is, only 25% of the lumens in an RGBW lighting fixture are considered to be “usable white light”.

For example, an RGBW fixture that produces a total of 10,000 lumens; only 2,500 lumens would be available for the usable white light. The other 7500 lumens would be divided equally among the R red diodes G green diodes and B blue diodes with 2,500 lumens each respectively.

Therefore, the best practices are as follows:

First, light the playing area with the correct white light luminaires to IES standards.

Then, add additional RGBW luminaires to create the desired colour effects.

Typically, IES files do not exist for RGBW fixtures as there are literally thousands of colour combinations.

Note all RGBW luminaires require a control system.

CONTROLS FOR SPORTSLIGHTING

All LuxLogic fixtures are basically controls agnostic. What this means is we can work with anyone's non proprietary control system.

DMX (wired control system)

LuxLogic can provide a preinstalled DMX decoder into our fixtures. The contractor then has to wire the client's control system to all of the luminaires and then program to the client’s wishes.

Wireless controls

LuxLogic can provide various wireless Bluetooth control solutions that can be preinstalled into our fixtures.

These can be controlled wirelessly either by a remote and or an app.

The contractor then has to program the fixtures to the client’s wishes.
